Is Big Ambitions multiplayer?
Big Ambitions is a single-player business simulation, and has been through Early Access and into its 1.0 release. Steam lists exactly one play-mode category for it, and that category is Single-player. Nothing in the 1.0 announcement of 28 August 2026 introduces co-op, online play or a shared world — the additions were a new neighbourhood, two services, a staff role and three solo activities. If you found a page suggesting otherwise, check its date: guides written during Early Access sometimes discuss requested features as though they were planned commitments. We have seen no official statement committing to multiplayer, and we are not going to infer one from silence. What the game does support is listed below, because two of those features are what people are usually actually asking about.
What the store page actually lists
Straight from the Steam storefront categories. Present means the category appears on the store page; absent means it does not.
| Steam category | On this game? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Single-player | PRESENT | The only play-mode category on the store page. |
| Steam Achievements | PRESENT | Achievements are supported. |
| Steam Workshop | PRESENT | Workshop is enabled for this app — the official route for community content. |
| Steam Cloud | PRESENT | Saves sync across your own machines. |
| Family Sharing | PRESENT | The library can be shared with a Steam Family member. |
| Multi-player | ABSENT | Not listed. |
| Co-op / Online Co-op / LAN Co-op | ABSENT | Not listed. |
| PvP | ABSENT | Not listed. |
| Cross-Platform Multiplayer | ABSENT | Not listed. |

“Can I play with a friend?” — the two things people usually mean
Share the game itself: Family Sharing
Family Sharingis listed on the store page, so the game can be shared with a Steam Family member. That lets someone else play the game — it does not let you both be in the same city at the same time. It is one player at a time, in separate saves.Share content: Steam Workshop
Steam Workshopis enabled for this app. That is the official channel for community-made content, and it is how players share things with each other in a single-player game. We have not catalogued what is actually on it — that needs its own page and we would rather leave it empty than list items we have not checked.

Related questions
- Is multiplayer planned for Big Ambitions?
- We have found no official statement committing to it. The developer did say after 1.0 that “more updates, content releases and eventually a couple DLCs” are planned, but multiplayer was not named among them. Absence of a commitment is not the same as a refusal — it just means nobody has promised it.
- Can two people play the same company?
- No. There is no shared-world or co-op category on the store page, so there is no supported way to do this.
- Did 1.0 add multiplayer?
- No. The 1.0 additions were The Hamptons, a chauffeur service, food delivery, a pricing manager role and three activities — see the 1.0 update page.
- Is it on Mac?
- Yes. Windows and macOS are both listed; Linux is not.
